ABOUT ME

The basics: 

I grew up in the cutest, most idealistic beach town on the Jersey Shore. I have loving parents, an older sister and younger brother- who also happen to be my best friends. I love to write, dance, read, run (occasionally), sit on the beach, and eat ice cream. I attended Penn State University, was involved in way too many organizations, and graduated May 2017 with a degree in Middle Level Education. I recently moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and that I guess is where this whole thing begins. 

Why I felt the need to write: 

After deciding to be a teacher at a pretty young age, that had always just been the plan. Life seemed pretty well laid out, and my goals realistic. It wasn't until I was actually in the role I thought I had always wanted that I realized plans can change... and that's ok. After a couple weeks of being confused, frustrated, and scared, I decided to start writing about this time to make it seem not so much as "in-between things", but as an essential part of me learning and growing. If you've ever felt this way, I'm not telling you I know the answers. I'm just saying... yeah, me too.
